Knit up quickly on size 6 straight and double point needles using worsted weight yarn.  These socks were inspired by the beautiful quilts made by Amish women.  The quilts are done in blues, reds, purples, teal, green and black.  White or pastels are never used, and the patterns are almost always geometric.  On the fun side, the Amish believe nothing manmade is perfect, so there is always an obvious mistake made.  So be sure to put in an odd color block somewhere.  Goofs are ok.
