Needle recommendations are for straight needles, US 5 and US 7, and 16" US 5 circular needle for pullover neck. 2 stitch holders are used for pullovers and 3 stitch holders are used for cardigans. 1 cable needle and 2 stitch markers are needed.
Child version cardigan requires 5 buttons for sizes 1 and 2, and 6 buttons for sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 and 7 buttons for size 14.
Adult version cardigan requires 7 buttons for sizes 36, 38, 40, 42 and 44, and 8 buttons for sizes 46, 48, and 50 (these are finished sweater chest measurement sizes).
