Sacque: Begin at neck. Ch 81
Row 1. Dc in 4th st from hook, sk 1, (V in next, sk 1, dc in each of 2) twice, make corner as follows: Ch 2, dc in next, ch 2, dc in each of next 2, repeat (- -) twice, corner (- -) 5 times, corner, (- - -) twice, corner, (- -) twice, ch 3, turn.
Row 1 NOTE: Row should start out "Dc in 4th st from hook, (sk 1, V in next, sk 1, dc in each of next 2).....
Row 2. Post dc (insert hook around entire post or spoke of dc, instead of through the top, --often called a raised dc) around next dc from front, * V in V, post dc around each of next 2 dc * repeat * to * to corner, V under ch 2, ch 2, post dc around next dc, V under ch 2, continue around in same pattern, ch 3, turn. End row with dc.
Row 3. Post dc (from back) around next dc, V in V, etc to corner, add 2 dc under each ch 2, and continue in pattern, ch 3, turn.
Row 3. ...Corners done as follows: 2 dc on ch 2, ch 2, post dc from back, ch 2, 2 dc on ch 2. End row with dc.
NOTE: All ridges (post dc's) must be made from the right side, or outside of garment. Pattern increases in same manner at each side of corner post dc, as follows: Even numbered rows add V under each ch 2, odd rows add 2 dc under each ch 2.
Continue in pattern until back measures about 10 inches between corner increases, join corners, keeping pattern, and continue on body section until work measures 5 1/2 inches from joining.

Make ribbing as follows:
Row 1. Post dc around next dc, post dc around each dc of V (sk ch 1), post dc around both of next 2 dc at once, and continue around in this pattern.
Rows 2, 3, and 4. Post dc around each dc. Fasten off.
Sleeve: Join yarn at underarm, work in pattern for 5 1/2 inches, join each row and turn, to match body section.
Cuff. Row 1. Dc in ch 1 of each V, and post dc around both dc's of ridge at once.
Rows 2, 3, and 4. Post dc even. Fasten off.
Neck BAND. Row 1. Join yarn in first st at left side of front, ch 3, post dc around next dc, post dc around base of V, repeat around (53 dc, counting ch 3), ch 3, turn.
Rows 2 and 3. Post dc even. Fasten off.
Button Band. Sc smoothly down right front, ch 1, turn, make 6 or 7 rows sc even. Fasten off.
Buttonhole Band. Make same number of sc down left front as for right front, make 4 rows sc even. For Row 5, ch 2, sk 2, sc in next at evenly spaced intervals, and for Row 6, sc in each sc and in each ch st. Add 3 or 4 rows sc even, to make band about one inch wide.
Cap. Row 1. Ch 6, join in ring, ch 3, 23 dc in ring, join to top of ch 3.
Row 2. Ch 3, * post dc around next, dc in top of next *, repeat around, join.
Row 3. Ch 3, * 2 post dc's around next post dc, dc in next *, repeat, join.
Row 4. Ch 3, * post dc around next, dc in next, post dc around same dc, dc in next *, repeat around, join.
Row 5. Ch 3, * post dc around next, dc in top of next *, repeat, join.
Row 6. Same as Row 3.
Row 7. Ch 3, * post dc around each of 2 dc, dc in top of next dc *, repeat around, join.
Row 8. Same as Row 7
Row 9. Ch 4, dc in base of ch for V, * post dc in each of 2, V in next *, repeat around, join to third st of ch 4.
Row 10. Sl st center of V, ch 4, dc in same st *, post dc around each of 2, V in V *, repeat around, join to third st of ch 4.
Repeat Row 10 (pattern row) until work measures 4 1/2 or 5 inches from center. Make 2 rows post dc around each dc (sk ch 1 of each V on first row). Fasten off.
Visor Row 1. With top of cap toward you, join yarn in second post dc below any ridge, ch 3, post dc (from top of work) around each of 2, * 2 post dc around next, post dc around each of 3 *, repeat * to * until you have 38 dc, ch 3, turn.
Row 2. Post dc (from back) around both of next 2 at once, (a decrease), post dc around each of next 32, post dc around both of next 2, dc in top of ch 3, ch 1, turn.
Row 3. Sk 1, post sc around each of 4, post dc around each of 24, post sc around 4, sl st in last. Fasten off.
Row 4. Join yarn at right side of visor, sc around, inc at turns if necessary to keep visor flat. Sl st over 4 dc to begin left ear flap.
Ear Flap. Row 1. Ch 3, dc in each of 18, ch 3, turn.
Row 2. * Post dc around next from front, post dc around next from back *, repeat across, ch 3, turn.
Row 3. Sk 1 dc, * post dc (front), post dc (back) *, repeat across, sk next to last dc, dc in top of ch 3, ch 3, turn. (16 dc---counting ch 3).
NOTE: Basket weave effect.
Row 4. Basket weave pattern across even.
Row 5. Decrease at each edge as for Row 3---baseket weave across.
Row 6. Even (14 dc).
Rows 7 and 8---same as 5 and 6 (12 dc).
Fasten off.
Join yarn at base of ear flap, sc around, inc at turns as necessary to keep work flat, ch 1, turn, make 1 more row sc. Fasten off.
Make other ear flap to match.
Finish entire cap, ear flaps, and visor with 1 row sl st made through the edge of the sc from the top. For a sturier edge, use double yarn for this row.
Add crocheted cords and pompons for ties, and crocheted cord and buttons on visor.
Bonnet. Make same as for cap through Row 15.
Rows 16-26 (or until bonnet measures 5 or 5 1/2 inches from center back). Work in pattern over 22 ridges. Ch 3, turn, at end of each row except the last, ch 1, turn.
Brim. Row 1. Sc in each dc across (omit ch 1 of each V) ch 3, turn.
Row 2. Dc in each sc, using front lp only, ch 3, turn.
Row 3. Post dc around each of 10 (front), * dc in top of next dc, post dc around same dc, post dc around each of next 2 *, repeat across, end post dc around last 10, ch 3, turn.
Rows 4, 5, and 6. Post dc's even (all from right side of work).
Row 7. Post dc around each of 10, * post dc around both of next 2 dc's at once, post dc around each of 2 *, repeat across, ending post dc around each of 10.
Fold brim to front, and sl st edge of each dc to corresponding sc through lp left in Row 2. Sc across lower edge of bonnet, and add cords and pompons for ties and trim.
Bootee. Begin with sole and Ch 20.
Row 1. 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 15, 5 dc in next, 1 dc in each of next 15 down opposite side of ch, 2 dc in last, join to top of 3-ch.
Row 2. Ch 3, 2 dc in each of next 3, 1 dc in each of next 13, 2 dc in each of next 7, 1 dc in each of next 13, 2 dc in each of next 3, 1 dc in same st as 3-ch, join.
Row 3. Ch 3, (1 dc in next, 2 dc in next) 3 times, 1 dc in each of next 14, (2 dc in next, 1 dc in next) 7 times, 1 dc in each of next 13, (2 dc in next, 1 dc in next) 3 times, 1 dc in same st as 3-ch, join.
Row 4. Ch 1, 1 sc around the post of each dc, inserting hook from back, right to left, join.
Row 5. Ch 3, dc in next, * sk 1, V in next, sk 1, dc in each of 2 *, repeat around, end dc in each of 2, join to top of ch 3.
Rows 6, 7, and 8. Pattern as for front of bonnet. Fasten off.
Instep. Row 1. Beginning with first st to left of 3-ch in center back, count on left side of shoe to 27th st. Join yarn in this st, and with toe of shoe toward you, draw lp in same st. Retaining all lps on hook, draw up lp in each of next 12. (13 lps). Work off as follows: yo, through 1, * yo, through 2 *, repeat across. The lp left on hook is always first st of next row.
Row 2. Insert hook under second vertical bar, draw up lp. Retaining all lps on hook, draw up lp in each vertical bar except last. Now insert hook through last vertical bar and st directly behind it and draw up lp. (13 lps). Work off as for Row 1. Make 6 more rows in same manner.
Row 9. Draw up lp under second vertical bar, yo, through 2 (sc made). Repeat across ending with 1 lp on hook.
Fasten instep in shoe as follows: Catch remaining lp on hook into 15th st from center back on right side of shoe (do not count 3-ch) and with instep piece toward you, sc it st for st to right side of shoe, 2 sc at corner, sc across toe, inserting hook from right to left under each of the original 13 sts of instep, 2 sc at corner, sc instep and shoe tog along left side, ending in 15th st from center back (do not count 3-ch).
Beading: With toe of shoe facing you, ch 4, * sk 1, dc in next, ch 1 *, repeat around, join to third st of 4-ch (21 dc, counting 4-ch).
Top: Row 1. Pattern as for rows 6, 7, and 8.
5 rows. Add 2 rows, post dc even from front. Fasten off.
